Complete Stud Welding

Headed Concrete Anchors

Headed Concrete Anchors are weld stud fasteners used to create structural connections between steel and concrete. Featuring an integral forged head, these headed concrete anchor weld studs provide mechanical anchorage within concrete while the weld base forms a full-fusion attachment to the steel substrate.

Suitable for flat surfaces, inside angles, and outside angles, they are widely used in structural steel, precast, bridge, and industrial construction applications. Manufactured from low-carbon steel or stainless steel, these drawn ARC weld studs are installed using the ARC stud welding process with matching ferrules for controlled weld formation and consistent installation results.

  • Full Base ARC Weld Design
  • Integral Head for Concrete Anchorage
  • AWS D1.1, D1.5 & D1.6 Compliant
  • Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel Options

Headed Concrete Anchor Features

Engineered for concrete-to-steel connections, headed concrete anchors provide mechanical anchorage through an integral forged head and full-base weld design. Available in carbon steel and stainless steel configurations for compatibility with a wide range of structural and industrial applications.

Full Base Load Transfer Design

The weld base diameter matches the stud body diameter, producing a complete fusion zone between the weld stud and parent material. This configuration supports efficient transfer of tensile and shear loads into the structural member.

Integral Head Anchorage Geometry

The forged head creates a positive mechanical lock within the concrete structure after placement. This anchoring mechanism helps resist pull-out forces and contributes to load distribution throughout the concrete section.

Drawn ARC Welding Compatibility

These ARC welds stud fasteners are manufactured specifically for installation using the ARC stud welding method. The process produces a controlled fusion weld between the stud base and steel substrate while maintaining dimensional consistency.

Multiple Material Configurations

Available in low-carbon steel ASTM A108/A29 Grades C1010 through C1020, with stainless steel grades 302, 304, 310, and 316 stocked in selected sizes for corrosion-resistant applications.

Ferrule-Controlled Weld Formation

Each stud diameter is matched with a corresponding ferrule design to contain the molten weld pool and support proper weld profile development during the stud ARC welding process.

Custom Length Manufacturing

Standard dimensions are supplied before welding. Length reduction after installation is approximately 1/8" for diameters up to 1/2" and approximately 3/16" for 5/8" diameter studs. Custom lengths can be manufactured above standard minimum requirements.

Specify The Correct Anchor Stud For Your Application

Selecting the proper welding stud requires consideration of embedment depth, stud diameter, material specification, loading requirements, and base material thickness. Our team can help identify the right flat-head concrete anchor or headed concrete anchor weld stud configuration for structural and industrial concrete connections.
